Missy Smith, BS, BC-HIS
Missy Smith, BS, BC-HIS joined Southern Missouri ENT & Allergy in July of 2006 as Clinic Manager. Missy received her Bachelor of Science in General Business in 2002, her Missouri Hearing Instrument Specialist License in 2017 and her Board Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences in 2022.
Missy is a member of the International Hearing Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology Administrators, and Missouri Group Management Association of Missouri.
Missy specializes in hearing aid selection and fitting, as well as hearing loss management through patient/family counselling. Her top priority with her patients is offering the utmost quality of care. “My goal is to provide West Plains and surrounding areas with a superior medical clinic where patients feel welcome and receive top notch care.” She enjoys seeing how improving patients’ hearing improves the quality of life not only for the patient, but for friends and family.
She was born and raised in the Ozarks and lives in West Plains with her husband, Garland. She has two sons and two granddaughters. On the weekends, Missy enjoys spending time at the lake with her family.
Kirstie Recktenwald, NP-C
Kirstie Recktenwald, NP-C is a board certified nurse practitioner. She is trained in the evaluation and diagnosis of ear, nose, allergy and throat disorders. Kirstie received her Master of Science in Nursing from Missouri State University, Springfield MO in 2013. She previously practiced at Mercy Clinic Ear, Nose & Throat in Springfield, MO.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Kirstie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri State University. She worked as a registered nurse for five years before continuing her education to become a nurse practitioner.
Kirstie assists Dr. Hull with advanced treatment for otolaryngology problems, including ordering diagnostic testing and management of diagnosis. She maintains national certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
Kirstie and her husband grew up in Mountain Home, AR. They have two sons and enjoy being in the Ozarks close to family.
Jeffrey Hull, MD
Jeffrey J. Hull, MD, a board certified Otolaryngologist, began providing advanced ear, nose and throat care for the Ozarks in 2002. His expertise has brought many services to the area. Minimally invasive sinus surgeries, advanced testing for vertigo and allergy therapy are some of the services offered right here in West Plains.
Dr. Hull served as Chief of ENT for five years at Reynolds Army Hospital in Fort Sill, Oklahoma before opening his practice in West Plains. He received his bachelor degree in microbiology from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethseda, MD. He performed an internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and completed a residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.
Surgeries are performed by Dr. Hull at the West Plains Ambulatory Surgical Center and Ozarks Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Missouri State Medical Association
Being outdoors, reading and spending time with family are activities Dr. Hull enjoys.
